What Does Spam Mean To You?
What does SPAM mean on the internet? Well I have done some research and found some of the best and funniest descriptions of what spam means.
SPAM = Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages
SPAM = Short Pointless Annoying Messages
SPAM = Self Promotional Advertising Message
These are just a few, but I do like the third one best. But how can you stop spam on Facebook and Twitter or any social networking site? These are sites that should be used to build business relationships first.
The truth is you can’t really, some will always slip through the net and worm its way into your inbox.
Of course you can always report spam and that person will get their account suspended but they can always can back with a new email address and be up and spamming in next to no time.
You will have spam filters on your email to reduce spam coming into your inbox.
Now every time somebody pitched their business opportunity to me on Facebook I used to get mad, annoyed and angry and cut that person off.
But not anymore, I deal with them in a different way. You see they don’t know any different, they may have even been told to do this by their upline.
So should we punish them for not being educated in the correct etiquette of using the social media sites? Or do we take 10 minutes of our time and find out a little bit more about them.
Spend a bit of time getting to know that person as you never know where it will lead. Ask them how long they have been online, how they generate leads for their business, what they struggle with online/offline just start to take an interest.
Some will answer those questions some won’t, but you what you can just block the people that keep the BS coming about being successful and millionaires. I don’t know any millionaires who need to push their company replicated website on anyone.
The key is to have some free training in place when you talk to them. Based on the answers they give you can show them a solution to the problems they are having. Those that live in the real world and want help will be so happy that you spent the time to show them a better way of building their business.
You stand a good chance of them joining your training and then joining your primary business at some point in the future.
Most people online want to build their business the smartest way possible, so even if they are pitching their opportunity now they may well be aware that it is not the right way to do things and you could be just what the doctor ordered.
At the end of the day you will never completely get rid of spam but if we can help educate a few people along the way then so much the better.
