Chapter 6 of The Science of Getting Rich (5) took me a little by surprise at first but then I began to put the pieces together.

The only way to become rich is by giving people more value than what you take from them. This is the basis of attraction marketing so in other words it is not a new concept.

Now I’m pretty sure that a certain Mike Dillard has read this book, which was written and published 100 years ago and turned into the attraction marketing we all know today.

When you think about it this really should be the bases of all business. You wouldn’t pay over the odds for a product that wasn’t worth that amount of money.

By giving more value than you get in return you are not only going to help yourself on the road to success but you are also helping out other people. And as we all know this is the basis for trust and building relationships.

You also sell people want they need to solve a problem and also at the right price. No point trying to sell a book about online marketing to someone who never has any intention of marketing online, no matter how much of a bargain it is, it worthless to them even if it is free.

Show them how to market offline and no matter what the product cost if it makes them rich then it is of great value to them.

Really this chapter was split into two sections for me, the first being about attraction marketing and the second is about forming mental images in your mind for what you want.

I’m sure every one of us has heard about the board you put on your office wall with pictures of all the thing you want from your business. Well this is a form of creating that image in your own mind, it’s just a reminder on the wall.

Remember how we have talked about the power of your mind in Mondays post “The First Principle of Getting Rich and The Power of Thought” and how a single thought could change the way you live your life.

By having a mental image of what you want to achieve and keeping focused on that image you will have that success. Keep focusing on what is important to you and never let anything stand in your way.

For the last few days we have been talking about mindset and how powerful the mind is when it comes to being rich.

Today we will be looking at how you will grow as a person in order to be rich. We must as humans feed our minds to achieve a fuller, richer life.

By learning new things and gaining new talents we will be feeding our minds with new and exciting information. By keeping our minds active we will always want to grow as people. Research has shown that people who keep active tend to live longer than those who do not.

In The Science of Getting Rich the authors talks about having a balance in your life. By this he means having everything in equal balance from living a swinishly lifestyle, having mental pleasures, getting rich for the sole purpose of others but to finding a balance between all things.

He also talks about competition and are we in competition with each other? Well in some ways we are not since there is only one of us so we can only be in competition with ourselves. We can become rich by becoming creators. This means to create something that has yet to be created.

This will enable you to stand out from the crowd and help others become rich at the same time. To create something new will require you to learn new things and new skills therefore feeding you mind and keeping active.

You do not have to cheat, drive a hard bargain, take advantage, or take anything away from anyone because once you start to create something you will get want you want and you will be rich.

Keep feeding your mind you new and empowering things and keep the mind active.

Today I read chapter 3 of Wallace D. Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich and it is a very short chapter but one that follows on from yesterdays where the basis of the chapter is all about having that positive mindset.

Now some of you may be thinking why go on about a positive mindset in such detail, we know how important it is. Well you would be surprised by how many people really don’t understand how powerful the mind really is and what it can do.

How many times have you heard people say that one particular industry is saturated or monopolized? How many prospects have said to you that there are lots of people doing that business in my area?

The later I have had said to me a few times and I know for a fact that it is rubbish. Yes there are some industries which we stand little chance of building a business in because they are monopolized but does that mean that you could never be wealthy?

The Science of Getting Rich was written 100 years ago and the author gives some great and rather funny outlooks into the future. However those outlooks were all spot on and the people reading it at the time must have thought he was mad.

So let’s wind the clock forward 100 years and look at what is happening today. Could you come up with the next social network site to take on Facebook? Well potentially it could be done, if you can come up with something Facebook are not doing right now.

Can anyone become a successful distributor for the company if most of their city is in the same business? I would like to think so, the world around is shrinking all the time. It was a very large place 100 years ago but today it seems to be getting smaller by the day.

There is opportunity everywhere, every man, woman and child on this planet has the opportunity to be rich and successful even if something seems to be saturated. By stepping back and looking for a gap in the market or what the future might hold then everyone has the same chance of being rich.

However it all depends on your mindset and whether you will do things in a certain way. As you can see today was just to reinforce what was in chapter 2 from yesterday as it is such an important subject and needs to reinforced from time to time.

So don’t look on anything as being monopolized, look on it as an opportunity to show off you you are and what skills you can bring to the human race.

I have just read a great post on Wayne Vassell’s blog entitled “An Angry 2 Cents – There Are No MLM Success Stories It Does Not Work!” and I just wanted to add my 2 pennies worth.

This is a great post in Wayne talks about a little bit of honesty that is needed with the network marketing industry.

How many times have you heard that MLM simply does not work?

I think one of the problems is the mindset of the people who get involved with these businesses and also the MLM companies themselves. They get involved to have a better lifestyle, more money, more freedom, fire the boss, put the kids through college, whatever their reason they want a change.

So along comes this nice glossy brochure or company video showing them the life they could have if they follow this simple plan. One or two join and drift away after a few and become another network marketing statistic.

They make no mention of the work that you have to do or the

If you are thinking of starting a network marketing business understand this and understand it well. You must work harder then you have ever done before. You must learn new things everyday. You must keep going everyday until you are successful.

To be successful in this industry takes the same amount of effort and commitment as if you were a top sports professional, film or music star. You simply cannot expect to start your business on the Monday and retire on the Friday.

If you want to be successful then you better be prepared to take the knocks and put downs. Get in the right mindset and focus on your goals and dreams. Your future is in your hands and your hands alone. You have the power to change everything around if you so wish.
