I have been doing some research on SEO plans and what I have found has amazed and shocked me to the core. So many people fail with SEO because they don’t understand it or what to do. I know speaking from experience that I certainly did not understand it and was all very confusing and a bit scary.

So this post is to show you that you don’t need to go a waste your hard earned money on different SEO plans, you can do it yourself for free or very low cost. The list below will give you some ideas on where to start.

  • Your first port of call is to do some keyword research and find some words that have little competition but between a 1000 and 3000 searches a month. The best tool to use for this is the Google Keyword Tool.
  • Next is to write a blog post or article with the keyword in the title and in the first sentence. Also add longtailed keywords throughout the post as well as your main keyword every 100 to 150 words.
  • Once you have you post written and published its time to syndicate and get blog backlinks to the post. You can do this by placing links in different social media sites and syndicating of different tribes.
  • And finally, write more articles based of your keyword and related keywords and link them together so that Google can see the relevance.

That is SEO in a nut shell and essentially that is what an SEO service will provide you with, all the tools above for your website promotion. I can tell you that should not cost you 1000s of dollars a month, keyword research can be done in about an hour and you will have a bunch of words to play with.

You can write your own articles or if you want out source them at a much lower cost. All the back linking you can do yourself and it takes about half an hour each day to do.
