Are You Building Your Business in The Certain Way?

If you tuned into yesterdays post “Do You Have The Right To Be Rich?” you will know that I am reading The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles and we asked that very question and what I thought of the topic.

Today we are going to delve into the science of getting rich in the second chapter.

This is really all about mindset and how important it is in our business and daily lives. We all know about having the right mindset. It is the single most important factor when we start our network marketing businesses.

We know that being in the wrong frame of mind when talking to prospects can come out in our posture, even if we are talking on the telephone.

So how does mindset fit in with the science of being rich? Well the two go hand in hand, without a positive mindset we will stay in poverty.

Well in reality it is the only tool that you need. There’s an old saying “You can achieve anything you want to if you put your mind to it”

So it does not matter what your back ground is from, where you live, what your educational back ground is, whether you have money now or not.

Some of the most successful people of the 20th century did not have fantastic education or come from a wealthy up bringing. Some did have all of this and or still rich and successful. So how do these two very different groups of people become rich and stay rich?

They all have one thing in common, they all build their business in The Certain Way. They all became rich by doing things in The Certain Way.

In this chapter I think the message is all about mindset. What do you think?

I found this great clip from the film Any Given Sunday where Tony D’Amato, played by the great Al Pacino, has to inspire his team to success.

This is the difference between a team and an individual, the difference between winning and losing, living and dying.

I love this clip. It shows great leadership and a great way to inspire a team and is great for network marketing today.

Now I’m not going to tell you if the team win or lose, you’ll have to watch the film but needless to say I think you’ll agree that he certainly got the team fired up.

Goal Setting Success

Goal Setting Success in Your Business

When you start out on your network marketing journey you will have a “why” as to what you want to achieve from your business.

Now this could be anything from never working again to putting your kids through school. Whatever the reason it’s your personal destination and you have a long journey ahead of you.

For me I found it very difficult to go from where I was to where I wanted to be as it seemed so far away.

However, as with everything if you break it down into manageable steps it is a lot easier to plan out your future by setting smaller goals.

My upline in my first network marketing business introduced me to this great tool and I think it is a fantastic exercise to do focus on small goals to get to your final goal.

Goal Setting Success Tool

The first thing you have to do is write a list of the 50 things that you want to change in your life through your business. This can be anything, like never setting your alarm clock again, or taking the kids to the play park every day. Maybe you want to own a Ferrari or learn to fly a plane.

You decide it’s the things that you can’t do now, but that through building your business you will be able to do.

Once you have your list give everything a score from 1 to 5. This is the time scale that you are going to assign to each goal with 1 being 3 months from the time you write the list, 2 being 6 months, 3 being a year, 4 being 3 years and 5 being 5 years from the time you write the list.

From this you can set small goals and work your way to where you want to be. By break things down in this way you can start to build a plan of action and a path for your journey to success.

Also I believe that when you achieve each goal you set yourself you will still focused and motivated to working towards your next goal.

Oh and I found it to be a fun thing to do, which at the end of the day if it’s not fun then don’t do it.

Of course after the 5 years is up and you have ticked off all 50 accomplishments you can start a new list and keep going!

Sit down and do your list, I promise you it will really get you thinking.
