Blogging Ideas – Finding Blogs in Your Niche To Comment On
For a while now I have been trying to come up with new blogging ideas and looking to find blogs that are within my niche. Google is a great place and I’m pretty sure there will be some code you can use to find blogs, but how about a website that does it all for you?
Well this morning I was checkout my analytics and noticed in the referring site section a website I did not recognise. That site was Find Blog Posts so I checked it out.
Blogging Ideas – What is Find Blog Posts
The site itself is a very basic site, no flash light, bells or whistles but just a plain functional website. What it is is a collection of WordPress blog post relating to your niche.
You simply need to perform a search in the search bar and a list of blog post will appear that will be related to whatever you have searched for.
It works in very much the same way as a regular search engine but it will only come back with WordPress blogs.
This is an image of the page that can back for the keyword “make money on Facebook” and that is only the top part. There were 1000s of pages on the list.
Blogging Ideas – The Pro’s of Find Blog Posts
The pro’s are that it is so simple to use and it’s very quick to get the results. Also the results will open in a new tab which I always like. There is nothing worse than have to click back to a page if you need to do more searches.
It’s another search engine that I have obviously been listed on not that I’m too excited as this looks like a fairly new site so will it get your blog noticed and I just wonder how many people are actually seeing it right now.
Blogging Ideas – The Con’s of Find Blog Posts
The con’s are that as you can see from the listing they do not put the page rank of the site and not much information. Page rank is important when commenting as you want to back link from a high page ranked site.
Because there is no information you could spend hours looking for the right post to comment on.
As the site is fairly new it might not be getting too much traffic right now, the Alexa score is high and there is no page rank as yet.
Having said all that I have book marked the site and with keep checking back to it and testing it to see if it really is any good.
As far as blogging ideas go it’s not a bad one and could prove to be useful in the future.

Hi Tristram,
I’m going to check out your resource, sounds interesting. An easy way to find page rank for those sites is to download a Forefox plugin called SEOQuake. (I don’t know if there’s a comparable one on Internet Explorer.) Anyway, it’s an info bar that sits at the top of the browser that gives you all the info you’ll need for the site you’re looking at. Saves me a lot of time, hope it’s helpful to someone.
