In this post today I am going to share with some affiliate marketing strategies that will explode your online efforts and take your business to a whole new level. If you read my post about affiliate marketing for dummies you will already understand what type of affiliate program to go for in your business.
I see so many people missing these simple yet effective strategies from their marketing that they are simply missing out of $1000s each month because people are not being given the chance to opt into their list.
Let’s take a look at the 6 affiliate marketing strategies that will explode the amount of leads you get on a daily bases.
- Pop up Form
- WordPress Greet Box
- Side Bar Form
- Image
- Call To Action
- Exit Pop Up
Pop Up Form – You can get these as part of Aweber or the best one is Pop up Domination which converts like crazy. Whichever one you choose you must have a free offer to attract people into filling out their details.
WordPress Greet Box – This is a cool little plugin which you can customize and add a link to a capture page. It converts pretty well so start using it for that instead of just leaving it on the default setting. You will pick up leads just from this box but it all depends on what it is you are offering.
Side Bar Form – this does not convert as well as the pop up form but it is still essential to building your affiliate list and network marketing list.
Image – Always link your image to a capture page or some free training where people have to opt in. For some reason people always hover over an image to see if it is clickable, I can’t tell you the number of times I have been on a blog and the image is not clickable. You will miss out on a ton of traffic and leads.
Call To Action – What is says on the tin, tell people about your training, where they can get more information about the subject they have just read and take them to a capture form.
Exit Pop Up – If your theme supports it then use an exit pop up to lead people to a capture page. I am on OptimizePress theme which has one built into it. You can get plugins that will do the same thing.

Well, I’m not entirely convinced to be honest Tristram – A few seconds after I started reading your post, a pop up appeared in front of what I was reading – my immediate reaction was to click the “X” at the top right corner to get it out of my face! I don’t even know what the script said on it…
I personally dislike ALL the methods you’ve mentioned in your post as ways to get a “response” from my visitors and will not make use of them at all. If that means I’m leaving money on the table then so be it!
The other thing that really peeves me is when you are asked to enter your name and email to be sent a report, and then find yourself on the receiving end of on-going emails sent via an autoresponder. I did NOT opt into a list for ongoing information, I simply asked for the report! When this happens to me I simply unsubscribe at the first marketing email I get from that marketer.
Internet marketers need to sharpen up on their professionalism – if they want me to opt into an ongoing newsletter, then say so, don’t mislead me!
Nothing personal and my rant is now over…
But…each unto his own I suppose and if it’s working for you, then I guess that’s great.
PS – I was taught in my affiliate marketing courses that creating an “alt tag” for the images containing the keyword you are trying to optimize for is an effective SEO strategy, so why waste it by making it a link to a page the visitor may or may not visit?

Michael, Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Now while I agree that popups are not great they do convert like crazy. All the menthods I have menthoded do work and are used by the top marketers around the world.
We can’t plesae everyone so we have to work with what the majority want, if that is not for you then fine, Im sure there is something out there for you.
Also one other thing, why on earth are you adding a URL to an alt tag? There is a place in WordPress for adding keywords and URL to images. The URL is only the place where the image is store on your blog so all you are doing is changing that. If you put your keyword in the title and description you will then have tagged your image with your keyword and you have a URL going anywhere you want.

The strategies were really great and just love wp greet box i have used it on many of my blogs and they work really great for the blog. It takes more effort from our side to drive more traffic but conversions will be better handled by using some amazing plugins.
